KISUMU, Kenya, October 11th –An aspiring businessman, Mr Edward Onyango, has now openly declared his candidature for the Kisumu Central parliamentary seat in the next general elections.
Onyango, who is popularly known as Bob CEO, said that the time to declare his candidature for the seat has now finally come.
He was speaking at the Kisumu Railways soccer pitch during the ongoing activities to select a football team for the higher-tier competitions.
Onyango, who has been sponsoring several activities ranging from sports to youth and women empowerment, enumerated the need to take soccer seriously.
The aspirant noted that soccer is now a firm of employment, hence the need to nurture raw talent to build the sport.
Onyango urged youths to take sports seriously noting that it is currently one of the biggest industries in the world.
He called on corporate bodies to also invest in sports.
Onyango, at the same time, lauded the County Government of Kisumu for purchasing a boxing ring for local boxers.
The businessman who doubles up as the manager of the boxing county team noted that the move will ensure that the federation saves a lot of funds via hiring a ring.
He lauded Governor Prof Anyang Nyong’o for the Bible gesture. Onyango promised to sponsor more activities moving forward.
