Fanta Lights Up Maseno University with UGC Challenge Launch

MASENO, Sept 2026 – Maseno University was a beehive of activity as Coca-Cola, through its Fanta brand, launched the much-anticipated UGC Challenge under the Fanta Skiza Utamu campaign.

The activation brought together students, upcoming artistes, dancers and content creators in a day filled with entertainment, talent showcase and free merchandise.

Speaking during the event, Arafat Menta, the CEO of MS Events and student leader in charge of Entertainment, lauded the initiative.

“We’ve been with the Fanta Activation. It’s been amazing. We’ve had good artists who have done a good job. Comrades are very happy,” Menta said.

Renowned content creators Ronald and Nasieku, popularly known as the Ronos and Seekos, who graced the event, praised the turnout.

“It was amazing. The people are fantastic. We hope people will join and participate through the website www.fantaskizautamu.africa,” they said.

Sharon Rose Nayaro, Influence Manager representing Fanta, said the challenge is aimed at empowering young creators.

“We came to do an activation to engage students with amazing opportunities that the Fanta Skiza Utamu campaign comes with. We have just recently launched the Fanta UGC challenge whereby students, up-and-coming creators and anyone interested in content creation can participate and stand a chance to win amazing rewards,” she said.

Nayaro explained that there are rewards dedicated to both individuals and groups.

“Visit the website www.fantaskizautamu.africa, sign up, register and create. Post it on your social media page and we will track it and reward you based on the views. The good thing is you can post as many videos as you want and we will reward you based on cumulative views,” she added. The challenge will run from 1st September to 31st October.

The event also saw students showcase their talents in rap, dance and music, with performers winning merchandise including caps, hoodies, shirts and bags.

Students who attended expressed their gratitude to the beverage company for the platform.

“We are very grateful to Fanta Company for joining us here. It has been fun and we have exposed our talent,” said Mr. Sasi, a second-year student.

Another student, Victor Muli, said the activation was inspiring.

“We are inspired by the content creators of Maseno. We will push ourselves and work hard to reach the top.”

For many, the call was clear – the stage is set, and the opportunity is now open for all creators to register, create and win.
