Harambee Stars talisman Michael Ogada Olunga has joined Qatari side Al-Arabi Sports Club (SC) after signing a two-year deal.
This follows the expiry of his four-year contract with Al Duhal SC, where he emerged as an all-time goal scorer with 130 goals in both domestic and continental showpieces.
‘Engineer’ Olunga follows in the footsteps of former Kenyan striker Dennis “The Menace” Oliech who played for the club 22 years ago.
The 31-year-old national team skipper will don Al Duhail’s number 14 jersey.
Before featuring for top-flight international clubs, Olunga played for domestic sides (Thika United, 2014, and Gor Mahia, 2015).

He also had a stint with Sweden’s Djurgardens(2016), Guizhou HengFeng Zhicheng (China-2017), and Girona (Spain-2017/18).
Olunga showcased his goal poaching skills for Kashiwa Reysols (Japan-2018/21) and proceeded to Al Duhail in January 2021/25.
In 2022, he established the Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA) based in Homabay County to tap into grassroots football talents and skills.
After the signing ceremony, Olunga said that he is ready for the upcoming challenge.
“First never follows, I am suited up for better things which lie ahead,” he remarked through his official Facebook account.
