ELGEYO MARAKWET, March 2026-Interior Security and National Administration Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to equitable development across the country, saying all 47 counties are currently benefiting from ongoing national projects.
Speaking during a church service in Elgeyo Marakwet County, Dr. Omollo said the administration of President William Ruto is focused on transforming livelihoods through key investments in infrastructure, housing, and healthcare.
“It is evident that the government has ongoing development projects in all the 47 counties. This is a clear demonstration of our commitment to equity and inclusion,” said Dr. Omollo.
He noted that the projects are not only improving living standards but are also designed to leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
According to the Interior PS, the government’s development track record should inspire confidence among Kenyans ahead of the 2027 General Election.
“These projects are life-changing and are a permanent reminder that the President is keen on transforming this country and leaving a legacy that will benefit generations to come,” he added.
Dr. Omollo urged Kenyans to support the current administration and give it more time to fully implement its development agenda.
He cautioned against divisive politics, warning that tribalism and disunity could derail progress.
“We must ignore those who are bent on dividing us along tribal lines. Our strength as a nation lies in our unity and collective focus on development,” he said.
At the same time, the PS called on citizens to take part in the upcoming enhanced voter registration exercise by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), emphasizing the importance of national identification documents.

Dr. Omollo, who has been leading registration drives in the Nyanza region, said acquiring identification and registering as a voter is key to accessing government services and participating in democratic processes.
“It is through these crucial documents that Kenyans can access government services and also make their voice heard through the ballot in 2027,” he stated.
He encouraged eligible citizens to turn up in large numbers for the exercise, describing it as a critical step in strengthening democracy and ensuring inclusive participation in governance.
During the event, Dr. Omollo was accompanied by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, where he also commended the improving security situation in the Kerio Valley and the wider Rift Valley.
He attributed the progress to sustained government interventions aimed at curbing banditry and livestock theft, noting that the efforts are beginning to yield positive results.
“The initiatives we have put in place to tackle insecurity, especially in Kerio Valley, are bearing fruit. We are seeing significant improvements, and we will not relent in ensuring lasting peace,” said Dr. Omollo.
The government has intensified security operations in the region in recent months, part of a broader strategy to restore stability and support economic activities in affected areas.
