In the realm of health, the diplomat lauded Kenya’s impressive strides in combating HIV, noting the country’s achievement of epidemic control. She assured that the United States continues to play a crucial role in supporting health initiatives and humanitarian programs within Kenya.
Trade and investment emerged as key discussion points, with Burns expressing optimism regarding potential negotiations for a comprehensive trade agreement. She highlighted the eagerness of American technology firms to tap into Kenya’s vibrant creative economy, particularly to empower the youth.

He welcomed ongoing support for institutional strengthening, particularly for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), as the country approaches crucial by-elections.
