“Govt Committed to NADCO 10-Point Agenda,” Interior PS Raymond Omollo Says

Homa Bay, February 6th, 2026-The government has reiterated its commitment to the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) 10-point agenda but will wait for ongoing court cases to be concluded before implementing key measures, including compensation for victims of past human rights abuses.

Principal Secretary for Internal Security Dr Raymond Omollo said that the President William Ruto-led administration would continue to prioritise justice for those affected, stressing that legal challenges would not derail the overall agenda.

He spoke on Friday while attending a funeral in Ndhiwa constituency, Homa Bay County.

The NADCO plan, developed through bipartisan discussions, addresses pressing national issues such as inclusivity, corruption, public wage management, and human rights.

Omollo described inclusivity as a central pillar of the agenda and noted that the fight against corruption and proper management of government resources are also key priorities.

Highlighting past injustices, Omollo said many Kenyans lost their lives or suffered injuries while advocating for human rights.

He emphasised that the dialogue process recommended compensating these victims and their families.

“We have had instances where people lost their limbs and others lost loved ones while fighting for human rights,” he said.

Omollo criticised attempts by some leaders to block the compensation process through the courts, saying such actions delay justice and hinder national healing.

He insisted that the government would defend the agenda in court and proceed with implementation once legal matters are resolved.

“Under the broad-based arrangement, we have every intention of implementing the 10-point agenda, including compensation to victims and to families of those who lost their lives,” he added.

The Principal Secretary also highlighted ongoing development projects across the country, noting that the agenda aims to promote equitable growth in all regions.

He cited improvements in roads, markets, hospitals, and universal health coverage as examples of nationwide progress.

Omollo urged leaders to support the NADCO process, stressing that inclusivity and justice are essential for long-term stability and unity in Kenya.
