NAIROBI, 4 Nov. 2026 — President William Ruto has commended local manufacturers for demonstrating that Kenya is capable of producing high-quality goods that can stand tall in regional and international markets.
Addressing the Industrialisation Summit and Changamka Festival at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Dr Ruto said the wide range of locally made products on exhibition reflected the country’s huge industrial potential and the creativity of its business community.
After visiting various stands, Ruto noted that both long-established firms and upcoming enterprises had shown Kenya’s ability to manufacture, add value, and compete beyond its borders.
He said the government is determined to build on that progress by fostering a business-friendly climate that attracts investment, drives innovation, boosts production, and enables local firms to expand and prosper.
Later, Ruto met leaders of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) for closed-door talks on the sidelines of the event.
Their deliberations covered critical pillars of economic transformation, including energy, banking and finance, trade facilitation, market access, ICT, social enterprises, and regulation.
Ruto said the government remains committed to working hand-in-hand with the private sector to unlock constraints slowing down business growth, trade and investment.

While acknowledging strides already made in responding to private sector concerns, he admitted that a lot more still needs to be addressed.
He pledged continued dialogue and stronger action to dismantle remaining bottlenecks and guarantee a stable, transparent and predictable environment for businesses to flourish.
The President said the ultimate goal is to make Kenya Africa’s top choice for investment, enterprise and innovation.
