Momentum Builds As SA Set to Host Global Fund’s 8th Replenishment Summit

JO’BURG, South Africa –Its all systems go as South Africa prepares to host the Global Fund’s 8th Replenishment Summit on Friday, 21 November 2025.

The event will be hosted by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and it will take place online and in person, in Johannesburg, South Africa, alongside the G20 Leaders Summit.

In a statement released by Global Health Strategies, the summit to be co-hosted by South Africa and the United Kingdom, in partnership with the Global Fund, represents a critical opportunity to mobilise global donor support to end HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis (TB), and malaria.

As the world’s largest financier of programs focused on preventing, treating and caring for people affected by these diseases, the Global Fund plays a central role in driving global health impact in countries across the world.

This year’s Summit is expected to galvanise bold commitments, accelerate action and strengthen partnerships across regions and sectors. The co-hosts, are championing the core values that define the Global Fund’s partnership model: solidarity, sustainability, innovation, equity and reform.

Leaders from governments, civil society, communities, multilateral and bilateral organisations, and the private sector will come together to secure the investments needed to expand life-saving programs.

Discussions will also focus on advancing resilient and sustainable health systems that protect communities and drive long-term progress.
