Nyanza Youths Backs President Ruto’s Development Agenda

A section of youths from the Nyanza region have lauded President William Ruto for the development projects he has undertaken in the region since he assumed office in 2022.

This, they further noted, has been exacerbated by the creation of a broad-based government between the ruling party, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and ODM.

Led by National UDA Youth Leader Cedric Otieno, they reiterated their full support for President Ruto and vowed to support him for the second term in 2027.

Speaking to the press on Monday, May 26th, during a youth forum which drew participants from across the Nyanza region held in Kisumu, Cedric echoed his commitment to working with young people from all parts of the country for a better tomorrow.

He noted that a broad-based government has led to significant improvements in infrastructure development, such as roads, water access, and electricity.

The youths termed as symbolic and honour the upcoming Madaraka Day celebrations to be held in Homabay on June 1st.

” It is a great gesture which encourages collaborations between the people of Nyanza region and promotes national cohesion.”

They made a clarion call to the area residents to rally behind President Ruto for his second term and bring substantial benefits to Kenyans.

The youths stressed that: “We have been in opposition for a long time, and we weren’t meant to remain in opposition forever; we are in government to stay.”

“We are ready to work with President Ruto for development in our region, and we are in full support of the present administration,” they stated.
