Kisumu West Women Express Support for President Ruto,Dr Raymond Omollo and Two-Term Quest

Kisumu West- With just less than two years remaining to the 2027 general elections, Kisumu West women in the lakeside county of Kisumu have expressed their unwavering support for President William Ruto and Principal Secretary for Interior Security Dr Raymond Omollo.

As they championed peace and unity, they noted that the former prime minister, the late Raila Odinga, left a strong coalition called a broad-based government and vowed to remain in it for Dr Ruto to deliver his development promises for the residents of the Luo Nyanza region.

Led by Ms Elizabeth Ochieng, the Kisumu West Women Representatives, they lauded the ongoing and completed development initiatives spearheaded by President Ruto.

“Dr Ruto should be given ample time to complete them, and we wish to back his second term in the upcoming 2027 general elections,” they pledged as they pointed out that women always form a bulk of voters.

“After the death of Baba Raila Odinga, he left us with President Ruto, and we are solidly behind him until his second term comes to a close in 2032,” they added.

The women urged the PS Dr Omollo to continue carrying out multiple development programs and empowerment in the region by working closely with the Head of State.

They praised Dr Omollo for a series of support such as constructing new houses for the widows, the Nyanza Education empowerment scheme, which ensures that children go to school, and the provision of capital to women to enhance their Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The women rallied behind the slogan William Ruto Kumi Bila Break ( two terms ), initiating their support for his re-election in 2027, as they welcomed President William Ruto to Kisumu for more visits and development programs for the women and the youths.

“As the Luo community, we also need development, and not divisive politics meant to cause anarchy in the region and country at large, as we head to the next election plebiscite,” they chorused.

Ms Ochieng compared the situation before the creation of a broad-based government, when peace was unheard of, something that has now been restored in the country with the new arrangements.

“Kenyans shouldn’t destroy the existing peace that the late Raila created with his own sweat, blood, and by staying behind bars for nine years in prison,” Ms Ochieng encouraged.

“A country with no peace will never develop, as chaos leads to many suffering, such as women turned into widows, children remaining orphans, and many people left with multiple and severe injuries,” they concluded.
