OLD TRAFFORD, Manchester United, August 10 –To strengthen their forward line, Manchester United has signed Slovenia international Benjamin Sesko on a contract valued at €85 million ($98.8 million) until June 2030.

The 22-year-old former Bundesliga striker from RB Leipzig’s deal includes performance-related add-ons, as well as a sell-on clause that entitles RB Leipzig to a percentage of any future transfer fee.

Throughout his career, Sesko has scored 27 goals in 64 appearances for RB Leipzig between the 2023 and 2025 seasons. During his loan at Liefering FC, he netted 22 goals in 44 appearances, and at RB Salzburg, he scored 21 goals in 55 appearances since 2019.

In 16 UEFA Champions League matches, Sesko has recorded eight goals, along with a similar number in the DFB-Pokal competitions.

Additionally, he has scored 16 spectacular goals and earned 41 international caps for Slovenia since making his debut in 2021.

To facilitate his move to Old Trafford, major sports media outlets reported that Sesko waived part of his salary, while his agency, led by Elvis Basanovic, reduced their commission.

He was officially unveiled to the home fans before the Saturday 9th, Snapdragon Cup kickoff, where Manchester United faced Fiorentina
