NYALENDA B, Kisumu July 30 – A robbery with violence suspect was lynched to death on Wednesday morning, marking yet another tragic incident of mob justice in Nyalenda B area.
Tonviolence Omondi Ochanda, 21, was reported to have suffered mob violence, according to his father, Daniel Ochanda.
The incident occurred in the Kanyabala area of Nyalenda B sub-location, where the public took justice into their own hands after Tony was accused of committing robbery with violence earlier that morning.
Although police officers swiftly responded to the scene and managed to rescue Tony, he was transported to Kisumu County Referral Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Deputy OCPD Kisumu Central, Bakari Juma Mwanauli, confirmed that the body has been moved to Kisumu County Mortuary, awaiting an autopsy.
Further information indicated that Tony was a known repeat offender, having faced several charges of burglary and theft in court before.
During the robbery incident on Wednesday morning, he was accompanied by two other individuals who managed to flee and are currently being pursued by the police.
Mr. Bakari urged the public to refrain from taking the law into their own hands and to instead report such incidents to the police.
This incident follows closely on the heels of two other suspects who were killed in the Carwash area of Kisumu East Sub-County just two days earlier, raising alarms about the rising tide of violent robberies in the lakeside county.
