NANYUKI, Kenya July 30 –Police officers from Nanyuki Police Station, led by the Officer Commanding the Station (OCS), conducted a search operation on 29 July 2025 in Majengo Village, Laikipia East Sub-County, resulting in the arrest of two suspects.
The suspects were found in possession of assorted items suspected to have been stolen during the protests.
Among the items recovered were twenty single shoes of different sizes, believed to have been taken from a Bata shop, seven packs of hair braids, suspected to be from Bestlady Cosmetics, and six pairs of socks.
Others included seven bulb holders, one sealing tape branded “Bestlady Cosmetics Ltd”, two pieces of sewing thread and two computer power cables.
The officers also
recovered one modified pressure machine, approximately 350 pieces of NSP kits, suspected to have been looted from LifeCare Chemist, which was vandalised during the protests and assorted wheel spanners.
The suspects were placed in custody pending processing and arraignment, while the recovered items were secured at the station as exhibits.
The security team has committed to recovering all stolen property and apprehending all perpetrators through continued intelligence-led operations.
The security team has also appealed for continued support from the public by providing information to the nearest police station, post, or security camp.
